Peptide Storage: Ensuring Longevity and Effectiveness

Lyophilized (Freeze-Dried) Peptides:
When peptides are in their lyophilised state, they remain stable for about 30 days at room temperature. For longer-term storage, keep them in a freezer at −20°C, where they can stay stable for up to 48 months. It is important to avoid frost-free or auto-defrost freezers, as repeated freeze–thaw cycles can cause degradation. Light, especially UV light, can negatively affect peptides, so they should be stored in dark containers or in areas that block light.

Proper storage is crucial to maintain the quality and effectiveness of peptides, as they are delicate molecules that can easily degrade if not handled correctly.

Reconstituted Peptides:
After reconstitution, peptides should be kept in the refrigerator at 2–8°C. They typically remain potent for four weeks, depending on the peptide and storage conditions.
Peptides should be reconstituted carefully using Bacteriostatic water,Acetic Acid 0.6% or the recommended solvent to avoid contamination or degradation.

General Tips:
Always use clean utensils when handling peptides and store them in tightly sealed containers, away from food, to preserve their integrity.

Reusable pen instructions

Proper Vial Insertion

When inserting the cartridge into the pen, ensure the black stopper inside the cartridge is fully in contact with the bottom of the grey rubber bung (the seal). To do this, prime the pen by dialing and clicking several times without the needle attached. This moves the internal plunger to the correct position.

Ensuring Proper Flow

Once the black stopper touches the grey bung at the cartridge base, attach the needle. When you dial and click, the system will correctly push the liquid through the needle.

Final Steps

After inserting the needle and pressing the pen, count to 30 before withdrawing it. This ensures the full dose is administered for your research needs.

Important Note

Each cartridge is pre-mixed with 2ml of solution and has a 3ml capacity. We use 2ml to ensure optimal dosing and stability, meeting the requirements of most research protocols.

How to Calculate Micrograms per Click for Different Cartridges for Research

Each pre-mixed cartridge contains a specific volume of solution and is designed to work with a pen that dispenses exactly 0.01ml per click. Based on the number of clicks per cartridge, micrograms per click can be calculated as follows.

5mg Vial (2ml Solution):
Concentration: 2.5mg/ml
0.01ml × 2.5mg/ml = 0.025mg per click = 25mcg per click

5mg Vial (3ml Solution):
Concentration: 1.67mg/ml
0.01ml × 1.67mg/ml = 0.0167mg per click = 16.67mcg per click

10mg Vial (2ml Solution):
Concentration: 5mg/ml
0.01ml × 5mg/ml = 0.05mg per click = 50mcg per click

10mg Vial (3ml Solution):
Concentration: 3.33mg/ml
0.01ml × 3.33mg/ml = 0.0333mg per click = 33.33mcg per click

Nasal Spray Instructions

Reconstituting the Peptide:

Included in the Nasal spray purchase is a needle, a syringe, 10ml spray bottle and 10ml Bacteriostatic water

Inject 3ml of either the Bacteriostatic water that is included  or sterile saline (NaCl) if you prefer to use and inject into the peptide vial and gently swirl until fully dissolved. Do not shake.

Preparing the Spray Atomiser:
Add additional Bacteriostatic water, or NaCl to the spray atomiser if required to reach the desired total volume, such as 5ml or 10ml.

Transferring the Solution:
Use a sterile syringe to draw up the reconstituted solution and transfer it into the spray atomiser.

Dosage Calculations

The spray device delivers approximately 10 sprays per ml.

Example:
10mg peptide in 10ml solution equals 10,000mcg total. With 100 total sprays, this results in 100mcg per spray.

Adjusting Dosage:
10mg in 10ml = 100mcg per spray
10mg in 5ml = 200mcg per spray
5mg in 10ml = 50mcg per spray

NAD Plus Research Protocol

Product Overview:
Total active ingredient is 250mg across four cartridges of 2ml each, with 250mg per cartridge. Each click delivers 1.25mg (1250mcg), with 200 clicks per cartridge.

Days 1–2:
One shot per day, 50 clicks per shot, delivering 62.5mg per day, totaling 125mg over two days.

Days 3–6:
One shot every other day at 62.5mg per shot. The remaining 375mg lasts six additional days.

Total Duration:
1000mg of NAD Plus lasts 16 days following this protocol.
